Welcome to
Flagler Beach Area Beaches!
A Florida vacation
wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beach. The Flagler Beach
area offers a variety of beautiful, wide sandy beaches. From the car
driven beaches of Daytona to the uncrowded beaches of Flagler, this
area has it all. Soft sand leads to inviting warm water allowing visitors
to feel they are truly in paradise. For an unparalleled beach experience
the miles of shoreline up and down the coast from Flagler Beach can't
be beat.
Flagler Beach Beaches
Flagler
Beach boasts over six miles of uncrowded, unspoiled beaches. This
unassuming beach is relatively unknown as visitors head to the more
popular beaches. It is one of the state's most undiscovered coastal
locales. The beach allows no vehicle traffic and a wealth of water
sports. For a pristine and quiet beach free of cars, head on down
to the Flagler Beach Municipal Beach. . Amenities at the beach include
seasonal lifeguards, restrooms and showers. Daytona Beach
Beaches An
unbroken strand of beach stretches for 10-1/2 miles through Daytona
Beach and its neighbor to the south, Daytona Beach Shores. The smooth,
hard packed sand can be as wide as 500 feet at low tide. The most
noticeable thing about the beach, besides its sheer size, is that
vehicles are allowed on most of the beachfront. Besides driving, the
beach is great for walking, jogging, volleyball, surfing, and bicycling.
In addition, the swimming and bodysurfing at Daytona Beach are as
good as it gets anywhere in Florida. Gamble
Rogers Beaches Located
near Flagler Beach and bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal
Waterway, this 144-acre park offers coastal camping, picnicking, swimming,
fishing, and nature study. The daily low tide is an ideal time to
observe the shore birds feeding in tidal ponds, and summer months
bring sea turtles to lay their eggs in the sand. A seemingly endless
breeze wafts through the beachfront at Gamble Rogers State Recreation
Area.
North Peninsula State Recreation Area Beaches
The relative lack of development north of Ormond Beach had eloquent
repercussions on its beachfront. N. Peninsula State Recreation Area
is a prime example of this, featuring 900 acres of pristine shoreline
and protected dunes. No parking is allowed along the road and no dune
crossovers are provided. Visitors can park at a free lot along Highway
A1A or hike north from Ormond-by-the-Sea and have one of the most
beautiful and secluded beaches - two miles in length - all to themselves.
Anastasia
Island Beaches The
beaches of Anastasia Island are located just minutes from St. Augustine.
The island sets between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic.
Visitors can access the beaches by crossing the span bridge or the
centuries old Bridge of Lions. Dunes stretch along the shores and
sea oats blow in the gentle Atlantic breezes on this gorgeous beach.
